PALACE GIN
THE QUEEN'S GIN
A BOTTLE BY GIN
PER ANSWER TO THE CRISIS
Palace would have thought of a solution that winks to a great passion of Queen Elizabeth II.
Much credited legend has it that Her Majesty, albeit the venerable one
age of 94, has never given up on sip, once a day a glass of Dubonnet, gin-based cocktail counted among her favorite habits (a sort of gin martini, which replaces dry vermouth with Dubonnet rouge, a fortified wine with quinine.
And the gin itself is the subject of the latest production branded by the Royal Family, which launches on the market a distillate obtained with citrus fruits and herbs collected in the Buckingham Palace garden.
THE BUCKINGHAM
PALACE'S BOTANICALS
The Queen's gin, which the label specifies is "a small batch,
dry gin” is the result of the mix of 12 botanicals that partly go
along with tradition English distillery (from laurel to citrus verbena,
al hawthorn), but also draw on the history of Corona,
like the mulberries introduced in London in the 17th century
by Giacomo I.
With a dry taste, with an alcohol content of 42%, the
real gin is perfect served in a glass with ice,
with subsequent addition of tonic water and a slice of
lemon, as the label illustrated with one recommends
sketch of Buckingham Palace.
The price of £ 40 for a standard 70 bottle
cl, available for purchase online, but currently only delivered
in the UK.
